Bonus Excerpt From My New Novel! Coming Soon!

Here is an excerpt from my new novel:

No longer able to keep myself upright, I fall onto my side. I let myself succumb to exhaustion and my eyes flutter shut. My body and mind shut down, no longer able to fight. I feel as though I am in death’s grasp. Never in my life, did I think that this was the way I was going to die. I thought I’d die fighting, not giving up and welcoming death.

“Cas!” I hear a distant shout. “Oh my, Cas! Are you alright?” I hear a car door slam and footsteps running across the pavement, closer to where I lie.

I ignore the shouting and let my mind go into nothingness, a void of life.

My main character is a strong, hard to tame girl. Her name is Cas. So, the fact that she gave up and accepted the help of another is a big deal for her. It’s a moment of weakness, the weakness that she refuses to show to anybody in the fear of being hurt.

I know a lot of people are like that. I know that is how I am but there comes a point in everyone’s lives where they find that one person they trust and let in. More often than not, that person breaks the trust and takes years after to prove they won’t ever break it again. That is how my two main characters are in my new novel.

Writing

In the past couple of months I have written about 25,000 words towards two different novels. Sometimes I take a break from one and write more in the other, then when I start to get stuck, I go back to my other novel. One is more of a fantasy romance and the other is a teenage romance novel (with no fantasy) and I can’t figure out which to finish first. Does anyone other than me run into this same issue? Where you love both of your novels but you know that you need to finish just one and then worry about the other later?

Catching Jordan

I read Catching Jordan in less than a day. It’s hard to say if I liked it or not because yes, I did like it but at the same time it teaches young girls bad values. And you could always tell what was going to happen. So out of 5 stars, I would give it a 3.5.

Newly Read Book

Lately, I have been waiting for books to be published and on the bookshelves at the bookstore. Impatient, I went to the book store and found a new book. It’s part of the Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I devoured the first book and ordered the other two that are already out. I have been waiting at least a week for it to come in the mail and I’ve been dying. What I like most about it is that it’s not about werewolves or vampires but about aliens. It’s amazing how she integrated real life and fantasy with her hot alien guy and normal human girl. With their hatred for each other but secret crushes your emotions go haywire (in a good way). I can’t wait to find out what happens later in the Series! It’s definitely a great read and worth the money!
